North Dakota farmers planted more spring wheat this year but less durum wheat, reports the Beaumont Enterprise.
The Agriculture Department's recent acreage estimates put spring wheat up 23% to 6.6 million acres and durum wheat down 21% to 1 million.
Corn is down 2% and soybeans down 7%.
