Twelve concrete silos, each designed to hold 89,000 bushels of grain, are scheduled to be torn down along with a much larger metal silo designed to hold 320,000 bushels of grain at a former Landmark grain facility in Sidney, OH, reports Dayton 24/7 NOW.
The facility these buildings have been a part of has changed ownership numerous times over the years with each owner adding a new facility.
The newest owner, Cargill, has chosen to demolish these buildings and consider this demolition a part of their $225M expansion project to meet the growing demand for protein and refined oils.
