Fire at Hubbard Feed mill in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

The blaze, potentially starting in the basement, escalated to a second alarm fire.

Brady Doran reported on a feed mill fire in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, for WHTMMore than 25 emergency units responded to a significant fire at the Hubbard Feed mill early Friday morning. 

The fire call came in at 6:15 a.m., and by early afternoon, the fire crews had cleared the scene. East Hempfield police Lt. Matt Pohle confirmed that there were no injuries and that the fire was not criminal in nature.

Initial reports suggest the fire may have started in the basement of the facility. The fire quickly escalated to a second alarm, prompting a large-scale response from units across Lancaster County. The Columbia Borough Fire Department Station 80 reported that rescue, engine, and traffic units from various departments, including the Craley Fire Department and Lincoln Fire Company Station 16, assisted the Rohrerstown Fire Company in controlling the fire's spread.

Hempfield Township Administration confirmed that no injuries occurred, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
