The amount of U.S. corn inspected for export in the week that ended Thursday totaled 751,278 MT, down 20% from the previous week, U.S. Department of Agriculture data showed Monday.
S&P Global reports the total in the most recent reporting period was down 43% from the 1.316 million MT of the same week a year ago, according to the USDA's weekly Federal Grain Inspection Service report.
The largest share of U.S. grain exports last week were soybeans, at 47% of the total grains inspected for export. Corn, at 27%, was second, followed by wheat, at 25%.
