Grain Shipments Down 50% at Port of Toledo

Many farmers in region couldn't even plant crops due to harsh weather

Grain shipments through the Port of Toledo were down 50% in 2019, but a diversified portfolio of products helped offset the loss in grain numbers, reports 13 ABC.

In the end, it was another solid year for one of the busiest ports on the Great Lakes, despite the harsh weather that prevented many farmers in the region from even planting crops.
