Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor has expressed her appreciation for the Michigan legislature's decision to pass legislation including a $0.05 per gallon tax credit for E15, a fuel option made with 15% bioethanol that can be used in 96% of cars on the road today. In her statement, Skor emphasized the benefits of this tax incentive, highlighting E15 as a more affordable, lower-carbon fuel option for Michigan drivers.

Skor also commended the coordinated leadership of State Reps. Will Snyder and Reggie Miller, as well as appropriations chairs in both chambers, Rep. Angela Witwer and Sen. Sarah Anthony, for their essential role in advancing this incentive through the legislature. She expressed gratitude for their commitment to biofuels and looked forward to Governor Whitmer signing the bill into law.

The full version of the agreed-to legislation, including the language outlining the E15 incentive in Section 1050(e), beginning on page 719. This move reflects a significant step in promoting the adoption of E15 bioethanol and enhancing the availability of lower-carbon fuel options for Michigan drivers.
