The U.S. corn and soybean crops conditions continue to creep along, according to the USDA’s weekly Crop Progress Report released Monday.
CORN
According to a report at Successful Farming, the overall condition of the corn crop is rated at 55% good to excellent in the top 18 corn producing states, below 58% a week ago and 68% a year ago.
SOYBEANS
The nation’s crop is rated 55% good/excellent compared with 55% a week ago and 68% a year ago.
WHEAT
The U.S. spring wheat harvest is 71% complete vs. a 87% five-year average.
