WBAY has reported on Didion Milling Co., Cambria, WI, and its plan to appeal the $1.84 million in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) fines that resulted from a dust explosion last May that killed five workers and injured 12. OSHA determined that the explosion was caused by a preventable buildup of dust, and cited the plant with 14 willful violations. The appeal can take up to a year, and the company states that it is still working to determine the cause of the explosion.
