Officials have identified the body recovered Sunday from Interstate Commodities Inc. grain elevator north of Fremont, NE, reports KETV.
Dodge County deputies said Zane Fecht, 32, of Bellevue, NE, died when he was trying to break up the grain and fell through.
A spokesperson with Interstate Commodities, Inc. did not confirm whether Fecht was wearing safety equipment. The spokesperson said the company is working closely with investigators.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident and look into whether the company violated any regulations.
