People in Mead, NE, have had enough with the nearby ethanol plant. It appears the spill of millions of gallons of contaminated wastewater that came from the AltEn plant in February was the final straw.

KETV reports the community called on local leaders to send a message, which they did Tuesday.

The Mead village board grilled AltEn's lawyers Tuesday night, asking how they planned to address safety concerns. AltEn's Lawyers asked the conditional use permit be suspended rather than revoked.

The board disagreed, voting unanimously to revoke the permit.
