One man is dead and one hospitalized after a grain bin rescue in Porter, Minnesota, on June 20.
According to reports, at 9:30 a.m., dispatch received a call about two men stuck in a grain bin northeast of Porter, which is located in western Minnesota.
When emergency crews responded, a 62-year-old man had freed himself, while another man remained trapped.
Rescue personnel worked for an hour removing grain from the bin before the victim was located. Life-saving efforts were performed but were not successful.
The man killed was Jonah C. Dovre, 26, of Porter. Dovre and the 62-year-old man fell into the grain bin at Dovre's farm.
According to a sheriff's office release, a rescue personnel member was also transported to the hospital with heat-related injuries.
