MyNDNow's Steve Kirch reported on elevated levels of the toxic grain fungus Ergot in the South Central part of North Dakota's spring wheat harvest. The harvest is now 70% complete, but some loads have been rejected by grain elevators because of the level of Ergot.
The problem seems to be very localized, showing up in areas that suffered hail damage.
