The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) recognized 73 graduates from its biennial Feed Industry Institute (FII) last Thursday. The four-day educational forum provided attendees with in-depth knowledge of the feed, pet food, and feed ingredient industry through sessions led by industry experts.

The program included presentations from 24 expert speakers on topics such as animal nutrition, feed ingredients, processing, customer service, and industry regulations. Participants also enjoyed networking opportunities and attended a Minneapolis Twins baseball game.

“We are thrilled that FII returned to an in-person format this year, which allowed for more engaging and interactive sessions,” said Paul Davis, Ph.D., AFIA’s director of quality, animal food safety, and education.

Adam Fahrenholz, Ph.D., emphasized the impact of decisions in feed manufacturing on downstream aspects like nutrition and quality during his session on processing.

The event concluded with a graduation ceremony, where attendees received certificates of completion. AFIA thanked its sponsors and nutrition committee for their support. The next FII is scheduled for 2026.
