Schenck Process to rebrand as Qlar

This shift highlights the company's commitment to the circular economy and its focus on digitalization and green transformation.

Schenck Process has announced a significant rebranding initiative as part of its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy. Effective May 13, 2024, the company will operate under the new name, Qlar, emphasizing its focus on digitally-enabled and climate-neutral solutions.

The rebranding follows Schenck Process’s sharpened focus in 2023 on core technologies such as weighing, feeding, conveying, milling and grinding. "With the rebranding to Qlar, we are opening a new chapter for a circular future. We are linking ourselves more closely to the circular economy and focusing our efforts on the challenges of digitalization and green transformation," said Dr. Jörg Ulrich, CEO of Schenck Process.

Qlar aims to enhance its existing offerings while continuing to serve industries such as chemicals, high-performance materials, cement, steel, infrastructure, transport and energy. The existing Schenck Process brand will continue under the Qlar umbrella, driving innovation toward green and circular economic solutions.

The company, which has over 1,100 employees across Europe, the UK, China, India, Japan and Indonesia, is committed to advancing precise and sustainable process technologies along with digital solutions. "We are contributing to the 'zero waste' goal of our global customers, helping reduce their carbon footprint. Our rebrand to Qlar reinforces our commitment to sustainable transformation," added Ulrich.

The rebranding to Qlar will not affect Schenck Process Food and Performance Materials (FPM) in the U.S., which remains under the ownership of Coperion. With this strategic shift, Qlar is poised to influence the future of industries moving towards greener and more sustainable practices.
